This webinar will provide information about the costs associated with unsafe work environments and outline areas of potential risks in behavioral health settings. The webinar will outline a process for assessing health and safety risks and how organizations can develop plans to control risks.

Presenter Information: 

Scott Graham, M.B.A., CBHE, has a long history of involvement in social causes. In 1977, he became executive director of Boley Manor, at that time a psychiatric halfway house, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He expanded the operations of Boley to provide a complete array of community supports for people with psychiatric disabilities. In 1983, Mr. Graham was named CEO of ReVisions, Inc. in Catonsville, Maryland. Mr. Graham was the founding CEO of the organization and built the organization from a starting budget of $50,000 to revenues over $9 million a year. In April 2004, Mr. Graham was appointed the CEO of Family Service Foundation, headquartered in Landover Hills, Maryland, and accounted for a cash turnaround of $700,000 during his tenure there. After a year’s service as CEO at Valley HealthCare System in Morgantown, West Virginia, Mr. Graham joined Criterion Healthcare, Inc., a nationally renowned healthcare consulting firm. He has served as the director of quality improvement for Riverside Health, Inc., a startup Medicaid Managed Care Organization in Maryland, and has been affiliated with PowderHorn Consulting since 2013, helping organizations become CARF accredited.

Mr. Graham has authored numerous articles and book chapters ranging in content from vocational rehabilitation services for people with psychiatric disabilities to marketing in a nonprofit setting. He has presented at dozens of conferences on a wide variety of themes. He is a co-author of a recently released management book, No Money Manager, and the author of Principled Leadership: A Training Guide.

Mr. Graham has served as president of the Community Behavioral Health Association of Maryland and of the International Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, now known as the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. He has served as a CARF surveyor for over fifteen years. Mr. Graham has a master’s in counseling psychology and master’s in business administration.
